Piotr Załęski - Assistant Professor and head of the Laboratory of Political Culture at the Institute of Political Science, University of Warsaw. He has conducted studies and field research in post-Soviet Central Asia since 2002. In Kyrgyzstan, he has worked with the Institute of Philosophy and Political-Legal Research at the National Academu od Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic (ad leading researcher), the Kyrgyz State University named after I. Arabaev (as secretary od the International Eurasian Research Centre), the Bishkek Humanities University named after K. Karasaev (as deputy editor of the PolishKyrgyz quarterly "Society and Politics").
